Accommodations

About 60 people can stay on the Driftwood Inn property. There are several other accommodations on Bailey Island and Orr's Island (the island just north of Bailey). This includes other hotels and cottages all ranging in price. In addition, there are many summer homes on the island that may be able to be rented at an off-season rate. Even if you don't stay right on the Driftwood property, all the other accommodations are within a 3 mile radius. We envisioned the Driftwood as being the gathering place throughout the weekend.

* There should be enough accommodations for everyone in the area, but we would STRONGLY recommend booking early. There can still be a lot of tourists in Maine in the fall.

There are 3 guest houses, with approximately 8 guestrooms each, and 6 cottages. Rooms range from one twin bed to as many as three beds in a room. The price range is from $75 - $125/night. The guest houses have mostly shared bathrooms. The cottages all have a single bedroom, bathroom, living room and kitchen. The Driftwood is clean and very charming, but it is a bit rustic by some people's standards. To go along with the rustic charm, they do not accept credit cards; therefore reservations should be made by sending in a $50 check to PO Box 16 Bailey Island, Maine 04003.
