We are so excited to share this day with you all. Many of you may already think we are married (and this may technically be true by law), so after thoroughly getting to know one another we are ready to make it official - and would love for all of you to be there to help us celebrate!

About the weekend

We met on an island in Maine so it seemed only appropriate to get married on an island in Maine. The wedding ceremony and reception will take place at the Driftwood Inn on Bailey Island, Maine on October 3, 2009. Bailey Island is a small island south of Brunswick (about 40 miles from the Portland Jetport). There is a causeway (no ferry necessary). It is an adorable little island complete with a working fishing harbor. The Driftwood Inn is on the southeast end of the island. Literally right on the rocky shore, this inn is the oldest on the island and is full of rustic Maine charm. Because 90 percent of our guests will be traveling from outside of the state we wanted a place we could all gather for the weekend to get a true taste of Maine and celebrate our marriage!
